After my first week of school, there are a few things that my professor said that stand out to me so I thought I would share them....as a part of "Food for thought".
-Consciousness is painful. When people become stuck, their development becomes arrested and they find their life more simple.
-We can make behavior changes but that doesn’t mean there has been an integration of that psychological movement.
-There is an emphasis on moving on to the next thing, leaving current stage. Beauty of evolution. Figure out what is enhancing and throw away the rest. Don’t dump it all!
-Transformation leads to, or implies adaptation. It is larger than adjustment. Adjustment is more of a conformist perspective.
-"Development is age referred, but not age restricted."
-It takes two elements to form a relationship – COMMONALITY and BOUNDRY. And that, to anyone who is reading my blog, is the key to ANY type of relationship. In my case, we spoke about career, yet compared it to an intimate relationship and there seem to be no difference between the two in this regard.
